Ochr Cefn Isa Free Range Eggs is a family Business situated on a traditional sheep farm on the National Trust ‘Tir Ifan Estate’ on the upper reaches of the Conwy Valley. All husbandry duties are lovingly carried out ensuring the highest possible hen welfare, resulting in happy and content hens producing eggs of the highest quality. High quality feed is essential for good tasty eggs that’s why we use only the best quality for our hens.
Our Hens have the freedom to naturally range across the farmland creating their own natural habitat on land which is rich in vegetation with trees, hedges and stone walls providing natural shelter for the hens.
Eggs are collected daily before being graded and sorted in our packing room on farm before being delivered to customers
The welfare of hens and production method have been fully inspected and approved by the R.S.P.C.A Freedom Foods and Government Animal Health and The Environmental Health who visit the farm to maintain and create a good working relationship.
In 2018 we were awarded the prestigious National Trust ‘Fine Farm Produce Award’ which is awarded to the highest quality food producers. The judging panel look at all aspects of production, environment, husbandry and animal health. The eggs were thoroughly inspected as well as being cooked and tasted.
